The man with the hat is back. And this time, he's bringing his Mom.

With tonight's full moon, here is a spooky story to pass the time as you wait in the pale moonlight. One evening, two college students went to Shenks Ferry to see the ghost of a woman who is rumored to haunt the ominous tunnel there. Instead, they spotted a Gollum (as in 'The Lord of the Rings') looking creature.

✨On This Day In History✨

With tomorrow's full moon, here's a unique Lancaster County ghost story. Towards the end of the 19th century, near Lampeter, there lived a lazy farmer. He dreamed of great wealth but refused to do any work. His slothful, greedy ways caught the attention of the devil, who one night appeared before the man in the middle of the Turniptown Covered Bridge.

Join me on Saturday, September 30, at Safe Harbor Dam for a morning of fun that includes tours inside the 92-year-old megastructure, a fishing derby, food vendors, and educational booths, including Blue Rock Fire Company, The Conestoga Volunteer Fire Company, Lancaster Conservancy, Southern Lancaster County Historical Society, West Shore Wildlife Center, and Uncharted Lancaster.
