Lancaster Central Market is the oldest continuously operating farmers market in the United States with fresh produce being sold here since the 1730s when it was legitimized by official decree from the King of England himself.

Camp Pequea on July 4, 1912. This is one of the earliest known photos of a Boy Scout camp in Lancaster County. Columbia Troop 1 pitched these tents on a knoll between the Susquehanna and Pequea Creek. Their first camp was held here in 1911.
