The first day of spring is officially Monday, March 20, 2023, at 5:24 pm EDT and if you had visited Little Indian Rock at dawn today (it was a bit cold for me to go out), you would have seen the sun rise between these two serpent petroglyphs.

Here is the State Normal School for the Second School District of Pennsylvania, which sprang from a small academy established at Millersville in 1854.
