It’s spring and love is in the air…or, in this case, the moss.

Running on Time.

Tomorrow is a big birthday. It was on May 10, 1729, that Lancaster County was formed. One version of the story suggests its creation was to rid Chester County of its undesirable residents.

If you have eaten at Max’s Eatery at 38 West King Street, there’s a good chance you’ve walked under the second oldest public clock in the city and never knew. The clock dates back to 1869 and was installed by Henry Zahm Rhoads when he took ownership of the building.

Kentucky had Daniel Boone, Lampeter had Christopher Franciscus.

I did some exploring in Lancaster County Central Park along the section of Rockford Road closed to traffic. I found this moss-covered bridge. In the third image shows a curious area of stone pavers with a sign that said: "not for human consumption." I'm guessing there used to be a spring here but can anyone provide more information.
