November 20: Legendary Tales from the Mighty Susquehanna Presentation

Join me for an evening of Legendary Tales from the Mighty Susquehanna on Friday, November 20, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Quarryville Library Center at 357 Buck Road in the C. X. Carlson Cultural Room. This entertaining and educational in-person program is open to the general public; however, pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Legendary Tales from the Mighty Susquehanna

Flowing through Lancaster County is one of the oldest rivers in the world, a waterway rich with history, mystery, and stories passed down through generations.

In my Legendary Tales from the Mighty Susquehanna presentation, I’ll explore the hidden geography and fascinating folklore of the Susquehanna River. The presentation will feature lesser-known historical accounts, remarkable people and places, and enduring local legends connected to the river and the communities along its banks.

You’ll hear tales of the elusive albatwitch, Lancaster County’s legendary miniature Bigfoot, as well as the mysterious Susquehanna mermaid and other stories inspired by the mighty river.
