The Lady Gray south of Witmer Bridge in the early 1900s. She was a shallow draw steamer, able to carry 100 passengers on trips up and down the river. Florence Starr Taylor's illustration comes from the 33-page 'Canoeing Guide to the Historic Conestoga" booklet.
This afternoon I had the opportunity to receive an impromptu tour when I visited @whitechimneys near Gap. Last summer marked its 300th anniversary, although celebratory festivities have been postponed until this summer due to COVID.
