With the approaching (now Federal) holiday of Juneteenth, I had the pleasure of doing the “Local History Nugget” segment for Lancaster Connects. In the episode, I talked about abolitionist and Lancaster County Sheriff ‘Devil Dave’ Miller. In 1835, Miller helped three prisoners escape from jail.
