June 10: Mysterious Petroglyphs of Safe Harbor Presentation

Join me at the Millersville Borough Office in the Public Meeting Room for my Mysterious Petroglyphs of Safe Harbor presentation for the Millersville Area Historical Society on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 9 am.

I will be recounting my expeditions down the Lower Susquehanna to explore the mysterious Native American petroglyphs hidden on the ancient river at Safe Harbor. These 1,000-year-old rock carvings represent some of the oldest human-made artifacts in Lancaster County and one of the most significant archeological sites in the northeastern United States. I will discuss their significance, possible meanings, and some local legends surrounding the pictographs.

This in-person program is free and open, but please note they do lock the doors at 9:15 am, so don’t be late. This program is perfect for adults and older children who love to explore or enjoy local history.

I will have free Uncharted Lancaster stickers and magnets for those in attendance, plus replica arrowheads for the kids. I hope to see you there.

Where to go

The Millersville Borough Office is located at 100 Municipal Dr, Millersville, PA 17551.
