Explore 1901 Dauphin and Lebanon Counties with this 18″ x 24″ map

Step back in time to 1901 with this stunning 18″ x 24″ cartographical reproduction of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties, Pennsylvania, from the 1901 Atlas of the State of Pennsylvania. Prepared by Joseph R. Bien and copyrighted by Julius Bien and Company in New York City in 1899. Bien (1826-1909) was a famous American lithographer who was also hired to produce a lithographic edition of John James Audubon’s The Birds of America. Now available at the Uncharted Lancaster store!

While the original map measured a meager 14″ x 19″, these reproductions have been increased to the perfect-for-framing-size of 18″ x 24″.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Lebanon County was actually formed from portions of Dauphin County (and Lancaster County) in 1813?

Admire the intricate accents and meticulous details that make this map not just a document but a work of art. The level of craftsmanship in this piece captures the essence of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties as they were in 1901, offering both historical insight and aesthetic pleasure.
