🕵️♂️ You know I love a good mystery!
Here’s one for you. During yesterday’s (May 24, 2024) sold-out Tunnels of Enola hike, a father-son team showed me this mysterious carving.

The 17-inch long, 40-pound stone was discovered in Landis Run, where it flows through the former Olde Hickory Golf Course near Oregon Pike, just north of Lancaster.
Here’s the approximate location of where the carving was found.
A face is visible, and the chisel marks look like they were made with steel tools. What do you think about its origins? Comment below with your thoughts.
You can virtually explore the artifact with this LiDAR scan.
Adventure Awaits!

My sister brought me a wood replica carving from Chile of a “ Moai”. Sure looks very similar including the the hands covering the pubic area. Many of the Moai were buried chest high and that lower area was not visible.
