October 26: Strasburg Halloween Parade

I love a good parade! So join me on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 7 p.m. for the annual Strasburg Halloween Parade.

I will be marching in this year’s parade with my Ark of the Covenant replica as I pass out candy, plastic gold coins, witch fingers, rubber snakes (Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes!?!), and wooden nickels that announce the theme for my annual spring treasure hunt.

Yes, you read that right. I am announcing the theme for my 2024 treasure hunt and how you can pre-ordered your grail diary for the $3,000 up for grabs with weekly cash prizes and four ways to win adventure at the parade.

Sponsored by the Strasburg Lions Club, the parade begins at Strasburg Jaycee Park, 218 Miller Street, at 7:00 p.m., heading east on Miller Street, onto West Main Street, through the traffic light in the Historic Square and concluding at the intersection of East Main St and Shenk Ave.

Strasburg Halloween Parade Route

Along the route, I’ll pass one of Strasburg’s most beautiful and allegedly haunted homes, the stately Gonder Mansion. More than 100 years ago, a family member was barred from entering this impressive estate. It would appear that Annie Gonder got the last laugh as her giggle ghost is said to haunt the halls. Click to read more about Annie Gonder’s wraith in this Haunted Lancaster tale.

Don your costume, line the parade pathway, and enjoy the fun. I hope to see you there!

Please Note: If the weather is bad enough to compromise the safety of the participants and spectators, the parade will be canceled and not rescheduled.

Adventure Awaits!
