Join me at the Quarryville Library Center at 357 Buck Road in the C. X. Carlson Cultural Room for my Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 6 p.m. for my Mysterious Petroglyphs of Safe Harbor presentation.
Click here to register for this free event.

I will be recounting my expeditions down the Lower Susquehanna to explore the mysterious Native American petroglyphs hidden on the ancient river at Safe Harbor. These 1,000-year-old rock carvings represent the oldest human-made artifacts in Lancaster County and one of the most significant archeological sites in the northeastern United States. I will discuss their significance, possible meanings, and some local legends surrounding the pictographs.
This in-person program is free and open, but registration is required. It is perfect for adults and older children who love to explore or enjoy local history. Walk-ins will be accommodated as space permits. Please register every person in your group through the library’s website or call 717.786.1336. Click here to register.
I will have free Uncharted Lancaster stickers, magnets for those in attendance, and replica arrowheads for the kids. I hope to see you there.

I will also be selling copies of the 1821, 1875, and 1899 maps of Lancaster County, 1875 Lancaster City 4″x4″ Slate Coasters (four-pack), Veterans Memorial Bridge 4″x4″ Slate Coasters (four-pack), and Little Indian Rock Petroglyphs 4″x4″ Slate Coasters (variety four-pack) with fifty percent of every sale going to the Quarryville Library!
