June 18: Legends from the Mighty Susquehanna River Tap Talk

Join Adam Zurn on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Burning Bridge Tavern in Wrightsville for an evening of history, folklore, and Susquehanna River legends beginning at 6 pm.

This free in-person event, Tap Talks: Legends from the Mighty Susquehanna River, explores the stories, mysteries, and hidden geography of one of the world’s oldest rivers. From lesser-known historical accounts to enduring local legends, the presentation will highlight the people, places, and cultural stories connected to the mighty Susquehanna and the communities along its banks. Space is limited, so advance registration is strongly encouraged.

Hosted as part of Penn State Extensionโ€™s Tap Talks series, the evening blends informal learning with a relaxed social setting. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy food and locally brewed beverages at Burning Bridge Tavern while diving into the history and folklore of the river that has shaped our region for thousands of years.

The program will also include an interactive environmental trivia game, along with prizes and event swag.

In this lively presentation, Adam Zurn of Uncharted Lancaster will share stories from along the Susquehanna River, connecting local history, folklore, and regional heritage.
