Answer to the August Mystery Tool Revealed!
Jennifer Royer, curator at Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum, says that this is a shoemaker’s rasp. It is used to shape, smooth, and trim leather, rubber, cork, and wood components. On the bottom, there are 13 ridges ending before the tip.
